Experience unparalleled grip with our Suzuki Frame Grip & Suzuki Number Plate Grip. A cost effective improvement designed for riders seeking the most performance out of their bike. A locked-in feel between you and your ride, allowing for real flow to take over.
- High Performance Grip
- Increase Lower Body Control
- Protect Frame & Graphics
The added grip increases lower body control and helps you stay connected to the bike, especially through rough sections, heavy acceleration, and braking zones. By increasing the grip through your legs, it reduces arm pump, overall fatigue and helps to keep you riding technically correct. This means more energy to stay aggressive, maintain flow, and stay strong deep into every moto.
Before applying the tape, begin by prepping the surface to ensure maximum adhesion. Prep the area using a scotch-brite pad, then thoroughly wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol to remove any dust, grease, or residue.
Next, position the tape on the frame or plastics to plan your placement. This step helps you line everything up correctly and avoid mistakes before committing.
Once positioned, use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the tape until it begins to soften and flex slightly. This makes it more pliable and easier to apply to curves and contours.
When handling the tape, avoid touching the adhesive side — only hold it by the edges.
Peel off the backing and press the tape firmly onto the surface, starting from the middle and working outward. Continue applying gentle heat as needed to help the tape conform to the surface. Use firm, even pressure to eliminate air bubbles and ensure a tight, long-lasting bond.
Q: What’s the difference between Number Plate and Frame Tape?
A: Number Plate Tape goes on the side plastics, Frame Tape sticks to the metal frame.
Q: Can I remove the tape later?
A: Yes. The tape can be removed with some heat and slow peeling. Any leftover adhesive can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or an adhesive remover.
Q: Can I apply it over scratched or worn plastics?
A: You can, but for best results, we recommend a smooth, clean surface. If your plastics are heavily scratched or worn, the tape may not bond as well long-term. A quick sand and wipe-down can help.
Q: Will it hold up to pressure washing?
A: Yes — once properly installed and fully cured, the tape is made to handle pressure washing. Just don’t be silly and blast the edges up close with the nozzle — like anything with adhesive, that can lift it over time.
